The pre-final year started with all excitement but had its adverse effects on me in a couple of days! I was wondering if I was the only one to experience such aberrations but later found my friends to be in the same state as that of mine, which nearly made me syllabify ‘Nan-baen-da!’ every time.
Sadly, most of our college days are spent on exams. I can clearly see that fifth semester had its own take of assault on every student of my college, via their Facebook updates. (Exams, I don’t wanna talk about it anymore here! God, we’ve gone through a lot after all!).
Let me now list out a few effects that I discovered during the classroom days of this semester.
1. Zombie effect:
Soon as you enter a fifth semester classroom, you could see a hyperactive person using all their energy to take the ‘already-hyperpassive’ students to a zombified stage. Lol :D. Interestingly, a few zombies possess a special power of texting without even moving their heads an inch. 😛
2. Red-eye effect:
After being zombified, the students enter the sleep mode in a few minutes. This brings up a red-eye effect in their eyes. In this case, it is not the pupil, but the sclera becomes red. Surprisingly, this red-eye effect is contagious. If you are red-eyed and a person near you annoys you by interrogating, give them a brief look! Done, the person will become red-eyed soon. 😉
3. Silverscreen effect:
If the hyperactive person uses a projector to get their work simplified, the student’s brain starts working in a ridiculously different way! The student views the projection screen as silverscreen to get rid of sleep. For one person, it might play the highlights of previous day’s match and for the other it might play the favourite scenes of last night’s movie. 😛
4. Mute-button effect:
The hyperactive person normally orders the students to put their mobile phones in silent mode. But the students are overly obedient that they themselves go to silent mode ;). When a question is thrown at the students, graveyard-like-silence prevails in the classroom. Nevertheless, in this situation, you can find atleast one person opening their mouth to……………YAWN :P. Never think the other way. 😉
Painfully, the sixth semester starts tomorrow without proper break :(. And I guess this is gonna continue further.
